To celebrate the launch of the SF Mantis Chair, the second release of our Small Batch Series, we decided to seek out rare, unusual, and sometimes hard to reach locations in SF where ONLY the Alite Mantis chair could accompany you for a comfy hang sesh. Here is the final part in our four-part series.
Location #4: Houseboat in Sausalito
The floating houseboat communities of Sausalito instantly transport you to another world: sea air, 70’s architecture, Burning Man flair, and a dash of MacGyver ingenuity thrown in for good measure. It's a perfect finale of our SF Mantis Chair adventures.
Container garden ‘yards’ welcome visitors.
Preparing for some nautical testing... in case you need a booster seat for your water vessel.
Though possible, using the SF Mantis Chair on the Prowler 13 was a heck of a balancing act. Try at your own risk!
The chairs made a perfect home theater for a live performance of Animal Planet.
This is how every day should end.
All packed up and headed home after an amazing day.
The SF Mantis Chair bravely accompanied us to Bernal Hill, Sutro Baths, Strawberry Hill, and finally, to the houseboats of Sausalito. Each of these locations took a little creative navigation to reach, but with a chair like the Mantis, the world is not only your oyster, it's also your living room. We encourage you to seek out an outlandish, hard-to-reach spot for your next sunset viewing or secret dinner date. You find the location, and we'll provide the seating.
